Hikes and Bones

Yes, 2 1/2 weeks since our visit to MT, yet we are still reminiscing the fun times we had!
There are so many pics I want to remember I am just going to post most of them.
(Then, Mom you can take the ones you want.)

A hike with Uncle Ben behind the lodge.
Found an antler~the beginning of a search:antlers and bones.

Then a hike with Mom and Dad

Just up the back hill.

23 Bones/teeth in all~other than the ones he "generously" gave to his cousins.

Holy Saturday-Happy Birthday Louis

This was quite a treat.....having Uncle Ben do some "tests" with his plane.
He had told Grandpa he would be flying by and dropping some Easter goodies Saturday AM.
He, and Uncle Matt assisting.
We weren't going to miss it!
  First time around.
 2nd time around...here he comes!
 Dropped! There in the field!
 Mission completed.
 I am not sure if it was more exhilerating for us or for them.
~~~~~~~~
Next a walk to Aunt Theresa's shrine
Happy Birthday Louis ~ you are Two!
I told the kids that we would really celebrate your bday on your baptismal day April 16th.
 It is a good thing Grandma insisted on doing at least an icecream cone for your bday.
Easter in Montana!
Arriving Holy Thursday evening at 7pm. Grandpa picked us up at airport.
Right away we walked out into beautiful weather, then we saw
 Uncle Joey, Stacy and Halle Jo walking across the parking lot to say hi ~ what a welcome!
Good Friday ~ Hot Cross Buns and Easter Egg Dyeing!
I suppose it was wishful thinking to hope that the kids would sleep in (to catch up with the time difference); they headed right to Gramps and Grams room slightly surprising them at 5:45am.
Of course Grandma was ready to bound out of bed anyways
to share the job of forming little balls of dough into the traditional hot cross buns.
It hardly seemed liked fasting.
Then out the door the kids went ~ they had been waiting for this!
 To the pond
 Just the right size for each other.
The dyeing begins!
Uncle Shannon held up $5, 4-$1's for the 5 winning eggs.
In other words: be creative, take your time.
  Why does this pic worry me?
 Judging.....lots of creative eggs!
Who won first prize? Uncle Shannon himself! I say he deserved it for helping organize this mayhem!
They were a beautiful additional to Easter mornings' brunch!
 to be continued .................
